Ab00491-1.1 Anti-Oestrone-3-glucuronide [4115]
Description: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Oestrone-3-glucuronide. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 4115.
Species and Isotype: Mouse IgG1, kappa
Clone Number: 4115
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein:
Alternative Name(s) of Target: E3G
Published Application(s): ELISA
Published Species Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: Human E3G.
Specificity: The antibody binds to E3G with an affinity of 10 nM.
Application Notes: The antibody is specific for Oestrone-3-glucuronide (E3G), a urinary metabolite of 17β-estradiol, a hormone secreted by the developing ovarian follicles. The monoclonal antibodies can be used clinically to detect levels of E3G in urine samples of women, providing a non-invasive test for determining the fertile period, indicating the time of ovulation. The antibody also has a lower affinity (1 nM) for estriol 3-(β-D-glucuronide), which differs to E3G by a single hydroxyl group.

PMID:9261086 Note on publication: Describes the production the monoclonal antibody 4115, which can be clinically useful in the detection of steroid glucuronides concentrations in samples of early morning urine, indicating the fertile period in the females menstrual cycle.
