Good antibodies are highly valuable. However, far too often the hybridomas secreting antibodies are lost, either through storage accidents, genetic drift or contamination. One way to make sure antibody can’t be lost is by sequencing the antibody enabling recombinant production.
Sequencing an antibody furthermore opens up other options, such as antibody engineering or applying for a patent on a particular sequence.
Our hybridoma sequencing service is the starting point for protecting your antibody and embarking on antibody engineering projects such as species-, isotype- and subtype-switching or even humanization. For more information, please consult our hybridoma sequencing page or get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sometimes however, it is too late for hybridoma sequencing as the cell line has been lost or otherwise unavailable. If sufficient protein is still available, advances in mass-spectrometry technology have made it possible to sequence the protein. For more information on this service, please refer to our antibody protein sequencing service page or get in touch at email@example.com.
