Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Factor H. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma OX23.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P08603
Alternative Name(s) of Target: CHF; AHUS1; AMBP1; ARMD4; ARMS1; CFHL3; FH; FHL1; HF; HF1; HF2; HUS; OX-23
Immunogen: Native protein purified from plasma.
Specificity: This antibody binds to factor H, a cofactor in the inactication the complement cascade.
Application Notes: This antibody binds to Factor H and has been used to determine Factor H levels in a sandwich ELISA assay (Daniels-Treffandier, 2016). Alone it has no effect on Factor H activity, but it is able to reduce the increase in cofactor activity mediated by the antibody clone OX24.

Flow cytometry using the anti-Factor H antibody OX23 (Ab00117). Paraformaldehyde fixed HepG2 cells were stained with anti-unknown specificity antibody (Ab00178-23.0; isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG version of OX23 (Ab00117-23.0, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, the bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-rabbit IgG AlexaFluor® 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.
