Recombinant monoclonal antibody to D-Dimer. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 3B6.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P02671
Alternative Name(s) of Target: XDP; Fragment D-dimer; Fibrin degradation fragment; Fibrin degradation product
Immunogen: Human cross-linked D-Dimer.
Specificity: Recognises epitopes that reside between amino acids 86 and 302 in the gamma-chain of fragment D chains of fibrinogen (Fragment D) and other cross-linked fibrin degradation products containing D-Dimer, but no reactivity with Fragment D or E, fibrinogen or fibrinogen degradation products.
Antibody first published in:
Bundesen P.G and Rylatt D. B. Monoclonal antibodies with specificity for crosslinked fibrin derivatives and assay for said derivatives. (1988) Patent US 4758524 A
Note on publication:
Murine monoclonal antibody 3B6 (also DD-3B6/22) was disclosed in patent (US4758524 A). The antibody is specific for D-Dimer and represents the first clot-specific antibody.
Binding curve of anti-D-Dimer antibody 3B6 (Ab00131-23.0) to D-dimer protein. ELISA plate coated with D-dimer protein (Bio-Rad 4440-0256) at a concentration of 5 µg/ml. A 3-fold serial dilution from 10,000 ng/ml was performed using Ab00131-23.0 (blue curve). For detection, a 1:4000 dilution of HRP-labelled anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used. Rabbit anti-Fluorescein [4-4-20 (enhanced)] antibody (Ab00102-23.0) was used as a control (orange curve).
