Recombinant monoclonal antibody to IL-18. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 125-2H.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: Q14116
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Iboctadekin; Interleukin 18 (Interferon-gamma-inducing factor); IGIF; IL1F4; IL-1g
Immunogen: Fusion of splenocytes from mice immunized with human IL-18, with SP2/O mouse myeloma cells.
Specificity: Recognizes the active form of human IL-18.

Note on publication:
Describes the generation of murine monoclonal antibody [125-2H] and its ability to inhibit IL-18-induced IFN-γ production by KG-1 cells.
Western Blot using anti-IL18 antibody 125-2H (Ab00140) HeLa cell lysate samples (35µg protein in RIPA buffer) were resolved on a 15% SDS PAGE gel and blots probed with the rabbit IgG-chimeric version of 125-2H (Ab00140-23.0) at 2 µg/ml before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. Protein was detected by chemiluminescence. The expected running size for IL18 is 22.3kDa. Ab00140-23.0 successfully detected IL18 in HeLa cell lysate samples.
