Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD200. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma OX-104.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P41217
Alternative Name(s) of Target: OX-2; OX-2 membrane glycoprotein; OX2 antigen; OX104
Immunogen: Recombinant hOX-2-rCD4 d3+4
Specificity: This antibody recognises the human CD200 (OX2) antigen present on a variety of cells including activated T lymphocytes, neurons, follicular dendritic cells and endothelium.
Application Notes: This antibody binds to human CD200 (OX2) and can be used to detect it by flow cytometry as well as IHC (frozen).
Antibody first published in:
Wright et al. The unusual distribution of the neuronal/lymphoid cell surface CD200 (OX2) glycoprotein is conserved in humans Immunology. 2001 Feb;102(2):173-9. PMID:11260322
Note on publication:
Describes the generation and characterisation of this antibody.
Western Blot using anti-CD200 antibody OX-104 (Ab00537) Human spleen lysate (35µg protein in RIPA buffer) was resolved on a 10% SDS PAGE gel and blots probed with the chimeric mouse IgG1 version of OX-104 (Ab00537-1.1) at 2 µg/ml before detection using an anti-mouse secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence. The predicted running size for CD200 is 31.3 kDa. Ab00537-1.1 successfully detected CD200 in human spleen lysate.
