Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Fibronectin. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the phage display antibody G4.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P02751
Alternative Name(s) of Target: EDB(+) FN; ED-B domain of fibronectin;Extra domain-B containing fibronectin
Immunogen: 2D-PAGE gel isolated human Extra-Domain containing fibronectin from lysate of human melanoma COLO-38 cells.
Specificity: This antibody binds to the ED-B domain of human fibronectin.
Application Notes: Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. Extra domain-B containing fibronectin has been proposed marker of angiogenesis, has been shown to be expressed in a number of human cancers and in ocular neovascularization in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
Antibody first published in:

Note on publication:
Describes generation, using phage display, of antibodies with subnanomolar affinity against markers of angiogenesis.
Immunofluoresence staining of fixed HeLa cells with anti-ED-B domain of fibronectin antibody G4 (Ab00635) Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HeLa cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of G4 (Ab00635-23.0) at 10 µg/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (1 µg/ml), showing cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom Ab00635-23.0, DAPI, merged channels and a negative control. The negative control was stained with unimmunized rabbit IgG followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.
