Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunising mice with ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide RDPVCHPLGA (C-terminal sequence)
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the soluble form of CD40. CD40, a type I glycoprotein, is expressed primarily by B cells, macrophages, follicular dendritic cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts. Its expression is also associated with a range of tumour cells, including non-Hodgkin's and Hodgkin's lymphomas, myeloma and some carcinomas including nasopharynx, bladder, cervix, kidney and ovary.
Application Notes: This antibody has been reported to function in ELISA, IHC and WB experiments.

Immunofluorescence staining of fixed Daudi cells with anti-sCD40 antibody T8P2G4*A6 (Ab00829) Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed Daudi cells on Shi-fix™ coverslips, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton and stained with the chimeric mouse IgG1 version of T8P2G4*A6 (Ab00829-1.1) at 10 µg/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/ml), showing membrane and diffuse cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom Ab00829-1.1, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with an unknown specificity antibody (Ab00178-1.1) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.
