Immunogen: This scFv was raised against the DEC-205 receptor.
Specificity: This scFv is specific for DEC-205, an endocytic receptor of dendritic cells.
Application Notes: This scFv, when fused to domain III of the Dengue virus envelope protein, is under investigation as a potential Dengue virus vaccine; fusion to the scFv targets the antigen to dendritic cells, inducing potent T cell and humoral immune responses to Dengue virus in mice (Coconi-Linares et al, 2013).

Immunofluorescence staining of mouse thymocytes with anti-CD205 (Ab00962) DEC-205 Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed mouse thymocytes on Shi-fix™ coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of DEC-205 (Ab00962-23.0) at 10 µg/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/ml), showing membrane staining. Flow cytometry using the Anti-CD205 antibody DEC-205 (Ab00962). Paraformaldehyde fixed mouse thymocytes permeabilized with 0.5% Triton were stained with anti-unknown specificity antibody (Ab00178-23.0; isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG version of DEC-205 (Ab00962-23.0, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, the bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-rabbit IgG AlexaFluor® 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.
