Absolute Antibody Wins Made in the North East Award

We’re excited to announce Absolute Antibody won Insider’s Made in the North East Award for Manufacturing Innovation 2022. This award series has been presented for the last ten years to recognize products, innovations and ideas from manufacturers in the North East of England, where our ISO 9001:2015-certified antibody manufacturing facility is located.

The awards were presented the evening of March 24, and Absolute Antibody’s Stephen Anderson, Head of Next Generation Sequencing and Analytics, was in attendance to receive the award. Absolute Antibody was specifically recognized for our SeqPack™ Hybridoma Preservation Kit, which streamlines the sample submission process for our hybridoma sequencing customers worldwide. The kit saves our customers both time and money by eliminating the need to ship hybridoma cells on dry ice.

In addition to receiving the award for Manufacturing Innovation, Absolute Antibody was also shortlisted for the Export Award, as we provide recombinant antibody products and services to customers worldwide. In 2020, Absolute Antibody was recognized for this global activity with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, awards known as the most prestigious awards for UK businesses.

Our SeqPack™ Hybridoma Preservation Kit is aimed at making hybridoma sequencing as convenient as possible for our clients. We have sequenced more than 2,300 hybridomas in the last two years to protect valuable antibodies from loss or supply chain difficulties, or to enable antibody engineering and recombinant expression.
