Attending the Queen’s Awards Reception at Windsor Castle

Queen's AwardOur COO Dr. Catherine Bladen was thrilled to attend the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise royal reception at Windsor Castle last week. Hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales, the reception celebrated the achievements of Queen’s Awards winners from both 2020 and 2021.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are known as the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, recognizing and encouraging the outstanding achievements of innovative British companies. Absolute Antibody won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2020 for our rapid overseas growth. During the three-year application period for the Queen’s Award, our overseas sales increased 100% and the proportion of sales exported grew to 81% of total sales. Of particular note, we merged with our sister company, the Boston-based Kerafast, Inc., in 2018 to increase our presence in the North American market. We also built a network of more than 30 distributors worldwide to serve customers in 62 different countries with our antibody sequencing, engineering and expression services and recombinant antibody catalog.

Dr. Bladen traveled to Windsor Castle for the royal reception on November 10, and had the opportunity to meet with Price Charles and representatives from leading innovative companies across the UK. Thanks to all who have supported Absolute Antibody during this exciting journey!
