Integrins are important proteins mediating cellular attachment and signalling. Five integrins contain the αv to form integrins αvβ1, αvβ3, αvβ5, αvβ6 and αvβ8. These integrins are being targeted in cancer therapies, making precise knowledge of their presence and distribution vital for diagnosis to inform therapeutics.

Figure 1 shows the immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining of human tumor cell lines expressing varying degrees of target antigen.
