Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Cyclosporin A. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma R454511.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: CsA; ciclosporin A, cyclosporine A
Immunogen: BALB/c mice were immunised with a D-Lys^8-Cs derivative coupled to a carrier protein.
Specificity: R454511 binds to residues 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 11 of CsA.
Application Notes: Mutagenesis of Cs-derivatives identified that R454511 binds to residues 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 11 of CsA (Quesniaux et al, 1990). In ELISA experimenets, R454511 was found to bind to Cs conjugated with both Thr^2 (Thr^2-Cs-BSA) and Lys^8 (D-Lys^8-Cs-BSA) (Quesniaux et al, 1990). The crystal structure of R454511 in complex with CsA has been obtained to 2.65 Å resolution (Altschuh et al, 1992).
