Recombinant monoclonal antibody to A14. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma BB5.2.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: N/A
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Vaccinia A14 phoshoprotein; Vaccinia virus A14 phosphoprotein; virion membrane protein A14
Immunogen: This antibody was produced by infecting a BALB/c mouse intranasally with WR.K1L–C7L–, a highly attentuated vaccinia virus. The mouse was subsequently challenged with intranasal inoculation of of wild type VACV, followed by intravenous injection with UV-inactivated VACV.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the vaccinia virus A14 phosphoprotein, which is expressed on the membranes of intracellular mature virions.
Application Notes: A14 was among one of a group of VAVC proteins that elicited strong polyclonal antibody responses, resulting in multiple clones of hybridomas being generated against the same protein, all of which were analysed with IF, IP and WB. These clones have not, as of yet, been individually described in published literature.

Note on publication:
Describes the original generation of a panel of antibodies capable of recognizing VACV antigens, including A14.
