Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Acanthamoeba castellini. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma MTAC4.
Immunogen: The antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with 3x10^6 heat-treated A. castellanii trophozoites.
Specificity: This antibody was raised against A. castellinii but also reacts with A. polyphaga AC010. It reacts weakly with A. polyphaga AC010 and A. lenticulata AC230.
Application Notes: The antibody reacts with intact, unfixed A. castellanii AC112 cysts and trophozoites in flow cytometry (Turner et al, 2005).
