Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CA19-9. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 4G2.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: CA 19-9; sialyl-Lewis; Carbohydrate antigen 19-9; tumor marker
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with carbohydrate antigen 19-9.
Specificity: This antibody binds CA19-9, which is a mucin-type glycoprotein tumor marker, a glycolipid on the cell membrane. It is known to play a role in cell-to-cell recognition processes. Elevated levels of CA 19-9 may indicate advanced cancer in the pancreas, but it is also associated with noncancerous conditions, including gallstones, pancreatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, and cholecystitis.
Application Notes: This antibody was used in a double antibody sandwich ELISA where antibody 4A6 is a capture antibody, and the antibody 4G2 is a detection antibody. The detection method had high sensitivity, with the LOD of CA19-9 detection as 21.333ng/mL (CN114573700).
