Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD11c. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma N418.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P20702
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Integrin alpha-X
Immunogen: Hamster spleen cells that had been primed to mouse spleen dendritic cells
Specificity: The antibody binds to mouse and human CD11c.
Application Notes: This antibody binds to human CD11, which is part of the human integrin receptor for fibrinogen, recognizing a GPR motif. The receptor is involved in cell-cell contacts, chemotaxis, and inflammatory responses.
Antibody first published in:
Metlay et al. The distinct leukocyte integrins of mouse spleen dendritic cells as identified with new hamster monoclonal antibodies. Journal of Experimental Medicine 1990; 171(5):1753-71 PMID:2185332
Note on publication:
Describes the generation of several hamster monoclonal antibodies against human dendritic cells.
Immunofluorescence staining of fixed U937 cells with anti-CD11c antibody N418 (Ab00420) Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed U937 cells on Shi-fix™ coverslips, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton and stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of N418 (Ab00420-23.0) at 10 µg/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (1 µg/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom Ab00420-23.0, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with an anti-Fluorescein antibody (Ab102-23.0) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.
