Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD172b / SIRPB. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma OX-130.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: O00241
Alternative Name(s) of Target: SIRP-beta-1; Signal-regulatory protein beta-1; CD172 antigen-like family member B
Immunogen: Recombinant SIRPβ1 was purified by nickel affinity chromatography and used to immunize mice.
Specificity: This antibody recognizes both common alleles of the human activating SIRPβ1 receptor, does not recognize SIRPγ, but cross-reacts with one of the common alleles of the inhibitory human SIRPα receptor.
Application Notes: This antibody binds both common alleles of the human activating SIRPβ1 receptor, but ELISA and surface plasmon resonance results have shown that it reacts with one of the two common alleles of SIRPα, potentially yielding different outcomes when this antibody is used in assays from different individuals.

Note on publication: Describes the original production of monoclonal antibody OX130, and the characterisation of its specificity using ELISA and SPR.
Immunofluorescence staining of U937 cells using anti-CD172b / SIRPB antibody (Ab00572) OX-130. Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed U937 cells immobilized on Shi-fix™ cover-slips and stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of OX-130 (Ab00572-23.0) at 10 µg/ml followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom Ab00572-23.0, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with anti-Fluorescein antibody (Ab00102-23.0) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.
