Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CMV. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the human B-cell clone EIV-15.

Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by fusing human splenic B lymphocytes with the SPAZ cell line and purifying the tissue culture supernatants by affinity chromatography using Staphylococcal protein A.
Specificity: This antibody binds the human cytomegalovirus.
Application Notes: This antibody is capable of neutralizing the human cytomegalovirus. The antigen specificity of this antibody was determined using ELISA. The heavy and light chain sequences of this antibody have striking similarity to the human monoclonal rheumatoid factors of the Wa idiotypic family (PMID: 2452836)
