Specificity: This antibody is specific for J-base binding protein 1 (JBP1), a protein that contributes to the biosynthesis and maintenance of base J (β-d-glucosylhydroxymethyluracil), a modification of thymidine confined to some protozoa.

Application Notes: Surface plasmon resonance screening identified this antibody as a strong binder, recognizing JBP1 with a 1:1 stoichiometry and high affinity (K_d = 30 nM) (van Beusekom et al., 2018; PMID: 30387773).
