Recombinant monoclonal antibody to lambda light chain. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 6-H5.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: B cell IgL; Ig; ferret immunoglobulin; lambda light chain; H5
Immunogen: The original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody was raised against ferret immunoglobulins (IgG + IgM).
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the lambda light chain of ferret B cell immunoglobulin.
Application Notes: This antibody is specific for the ferret lambda light chain of B cell surface receptor (BCR) and enables segreation of kappa and lambda B cells representing great improvement over polyclonal anti-ferret Ig. It can be used as an indicator of B cell malignancies such as multiple myeloma. It was screened for reactivity against ferret peripheral blood mononuclear cells by FCM what demonstrated specificity for CD79B+ B cells (Kirchenbaum and Ross, 2017; pmid:28286781). It is suitable for Western Blot, ELISA and Flow Cytometry applications. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with the murine version of this antibody (ELISA) was used to assess the reactivity against purified ferret Ig and to determine the IgG subclass and concentration of the respective mAb (Kirchenbaum and Ross, 2017; pmid:28286781). Further, a competitive ELISA was performed using unlabeled and biotinylated MαF-Ig mAb to identify overlapping epitope recognition (Kirchenbaum and Ross, 2017; pmid:28286781). To characterize the specificity of the murine version of this antibody a western blot on ferret immunoglobin was preformed (Kirchenbaum and Ross, 2017; pmid:28286781).
