Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with recombinant MPT64 protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv.
Specificity: This antibody binds the MPT64 protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). MPT64 is a protein encoded by the Mtb Rv1980c gene, is one of the important secretory protein of the pathogenic bacteria, which is a candidate protein for the diagnosis of MTB infections. Since, MPT64 is only present in some MTB strains, it is also used to differentiate Mtb infection from other mycobacterial infections.
Application Notes: This antibody can specifically recognize MPT64 protein in the MTB standard strain H37Rv, and has no non-specific reaction with BCG and Mycobacterium smegmatis lacking the MPT64 antigen. This antibody is recommended for diagnosis of MTB infections in vitro. The binding reactivity of this antibody to MPT64 was checked using ELISA. This antibody is also capable of recognizing purified MPT64 protein in a western blot (CN112759644).
