Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Pan-primate IgG. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 8F1.
Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunising mice with baboon IgG and screening hybridomas against IgG of different primate species.
Specificity: This antibody reacts with IgG of most primate species, including human IgG.
Application Notes: This antibody has been used in ELISA analysis to quantify IgG in supernatants obtained from cynomolgus macaque lung and lymph node tissue homogenates (Phuah et al, 2012). Additionally, this antibody has been used in a plasma cell ELISPOT assay to quantify the number of IgG-secreting plasma cells in cynomolgus macaque lung and lymph node samples (Phuah et al, 2012). A biotinylated version of this antibody has been used to detect macaque serum IgG bound to high-density peptide microarrays representing different ZIKV polyproteins (Heffron et al, 2018).

ELISA using 8F1 (Ab01271) with Human IgG1, Human IgG2, Human IgG3, Human IgG4, Rabbit IgG, Rhesus macaque IgG1, Cyno monkey IgG1, Cyno monkey IgG4, Rhesus macaque IgG4 Anti-Fluorescein [4-4-20 (enhanced)]. The plate was coated with Anti-Fluorescein [4-4-20 (enhanced)] Ab00102 (Absolute Antibody) at 2.5 µg/ml. A 3-fold serial dilution from 3000 to 0.0169 ng/ml was performed using Ab01271-1.1.
