Anti-Angiogenin [26-2F] Standard size

Description: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Angiogenin. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 26-2F.
Isotype and Format: Mouse IgG1, kappa
Clone Number: 26-2F
Published Application(s): ELISA; Block; ICC; IHC
Published Species Reactivity: Human; Rabbit
Immunogen: Human angiogenin.
Specificity: Binds to human angiogenin with a Kd of 1.6 nM. Minimal epitope is W89 and fragment 38-41 (PCKD).
Application Notes: The antibody binds specifically to angiogenin, a member of of the ribonuclease superfamily of proteins, which interacts with actin on the surface of endothelial and smooth muscle cells, inducing neovascularization. Due to its angiogenic activity, angiogenesis plays a key role in the growth and invasiveness of tumour cells, and therefore neutralising monoclonal antibodies such as 26-2F are important anticancer drugs. The monoclonal antibody 26-2F is not directly cytotoxic to tumour cells in vitro, however has been shown to have antagonistic effects in human breast cancer xenografts in athymic mice.
