Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD16 (FCgRIII). Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma B88-9.

Immunogen: This antibody was raised against FCgRIII expressing cells.
Specificity: B88-9 binds to human CD16 at an epitope comprised of LEKDSVTK (aa 21-27), (SWKNTALH (aa 113-120), FHHNS (aa 134-138) and VGSKN (aa 158-162) (Feng et al, 2004). hCD16 is recognized by B88-9 when both bound and unbound to hIgG1 – B88-9-bound CD16 cannot be bound by hIgG1.
Application Notes: This antibody binds to CD16, a low affinity Fc receptor on the surface of natural killer cells, neutrophils, monocytes and macrophages.

Flow-cytometry using the anti-CD16 (FCgRIII) antibody B88-9 (Ab00218). paraformaldehyde fixed human peripheral blood leukocytes were stained with an isotype control (Ab00102-23.0, black line) or the rabbit-chimeric version of B88-9 (Ab00218-23.0, blue line) at a concentration of 1 µg/ml for 30 mins at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using Alexa Fluor 488® conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG and cells analysed on a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.
