Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunization of BalbC mice with purified, recombinant soluble Cedar virus G glycoprotein produced from a human 293F stably-expressing cell line.

Specificity: This antibody is specific to the attachment glycoprotein (G) of the Cedar virus.

Application Notes: The original format of this antibody was successfully used in a neutralization assay against recombinant Cedar virus (rCedPV); incubation of rCedPV-GFP with m14F3 completely (100%) neutralized rCedPV-GFP at 10 of the 12 m14F3 concentrations tested. The two lowest concentrations of 0.02 and 0.01 μg/mL decreased rCedPV-GFP entry by 77% and 67%, respectively (Laing et al., 2018; PMID: 29587789). This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of the attachment glycoprotein (G) of the Cedar virus. It was successfully used to isolate full-length G protein from CeV lysate via immunoprecipitation as well as to detect its presence in Western blot.
