Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with human embryonic kidney 293T cells transfected to express high levels of Dombrock b.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for Dombrock b, a blood group antigen carried by ART4.
Application Notes: The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed in haemagglutination studies, where it reacts with Do(a-b+) and Do(a+b+) RBCs, but not with Do(a+b-) RBCs (Grodecka et al, 2012). The epitope recognised by this antibody is resistant to treatment with papain, alpha-chymotrypsin and neuraminidase, and sensitive to treatment with trypsin and DTT (Grodecka et al, 2012).
