Recombinant monoclonal antibody to GA733-2. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma FU-MK-1.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: GA7332 TA; Tumour-associated antigen GA733-2
Immunogen: Cancerous ascites derived from a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the stomach.
Application Notes: The antibody binds specifically to GA733-2, a tumour-associated transmembrane antigen expressed on adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomach, esophagus, breast and lung. The monoclonal antibody FU-MK-1 binds to cholangiocarcinomas, a tumour composed of mutated epithelial cells which originates in the bile ducts, but does not recognize hepatocellular carcinomas. Due to its specificity, the monoclonal antibody can be used as an antigenic marker in histopathological examination of tissues.
Antibody first published in:

Note on publication:
Describes the generation of a monoclonal antibody that recognises the tumour-associated antigen GA733-2 , and can be used as an antigenic marker for gastric adenocarcinoma.
