Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Progesterone. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma P15G12C12G11.

Specificity: The antibody binds progesterone and also has strong affinity for 5β and 5α-dihydroprogesterone with 30 and 20% of cross-reactivity, respectively. Progesterone is an endogenous steroid and progestogen sex hormone involved in the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and embryogenesis of humans and other species.
Application Notes: The original murine antibody binds progesterone with a very high affinity. The binding specificity of this antibody towards progesterone, 5β and 5α-dihydroprogesterone and determination of percentage cross reactivity was done using ELISA (PMID: 15878862).
