Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Ro52. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the chicken B-cell clone R2E5.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Ro ribonucleoprotein particle; Ro RNPs
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing a barnevelder chicken with an antibody antigen cocktail comprising recombinant purified human antigens α-fodrin, hPop1, HspB3, Ro52, Rpp30, Rrp4 and Rrp42 in complete Freund's adjuvant. B cells that were harvested from the bone marrow and peripheral blood lymphocytes of immunized chickens was used to generate recombinant scFv phage display libraries. The specific clone was identified by panning the library against specific antigen.
Specificity: The antibody is specific for Ro52. Ro52 is a protein of 52 kDa and it is pard of Ro RNP. Ro52 is an autoantigen associated with SS and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Application Notes: The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis (Hof et al., 2008; PMID: 18062792).
