Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Testosterone. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma Nb16.

Immunogen: The antibody was raised by immunizing a young male bactrian camel with testosterone-BSA.
Specificity: The antibody is specific for the testosterone molecule. Testosterone is the primary sex hormone and anabolic steroid in males.
Application Notes: The binding characterization of this single domain VHH antibody was done using an ELISA on testosterone-BSA. Further a thermofluor experiment was used to determine the Tm value of the nanobody version of this antibody. A surface plasmon resonance was performed to test the binding affinity of the nanobody version of this antibody to testosterone (Li et al, 2016; pmid:27196036).
