Recombinant monoclonal antibody to VWFpp. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the phage display antibody JG7.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: von Willebrand factor propeptide
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by selecting antibody fragments using phage display technology, where two phage display libraries were amplified and used to screen for binding to von Willebrand factor propeptide (VWFpp) displayed on yeast cells.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for VWF propeptide (VWFpp) and not to the yeast used for the expression of the propeptides.
Application Notes: This antibody's original format (scFv) was used in a sandwich ELISA to determine the VWF propeptide levels in plasma and showed a higher binding affinity for VWFpp in plasma at especially lower plasma concentrations (Meiring et al., 2018; PMID: 29992156).
