Recombinant monoclonal antibody to mCherry. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the llama peripheral lymphocytes LAM-2.

Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunization of Llama glama with mCherry fluorescent protein. A VHH cDNA library was generated by high-throughput DNA sequencing of a marrow lymphocyte from an immunized llama. Later on this was combined with mass spectrometric (MS) identification of high affinity VHH regions derived from serum of the same animal.
Specificity: This antibody specifically binds mCherry fluorescent protein.
Application Notes: This antibody is specific for mCherry and does not cross react with DsRed or TdTomato. This antibody can be used to detect mCherry fluorescent protein in an ELISA. This antibody binds immobilized mCherry with a binding affinity of Kd= 0.49 nM (PMID: 25362362).
