Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Angiotensin II. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma KAA8.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P01019
Alternative Name(s) of Target: octapeptide hormone angiotensin II; AII
Immunogen: Angiotensin II
Application Notes: Angiotensin II is a potent regulator of blood pressure, body fluid and electrolyte homeostasis. It acts directly on vascular smooth muscle as a potent vasoconstrictor, affects cardiac contractility and heart rate through its action on the sympathetic nervous system, and alters renal sodium and water absorption through its ability to stimulate the zona glomerulosa cells of the adrenal cortex to synthesize and secrete aldosterone.
Antibody first published in:

Note on publication:
Describes the generation of anti-antgiotensin II antibodies.
Western Blot using anti-Angiotensin II antibody KAA8 (Ab01568) Human plasma lysates (35µg protein in RIPA buffer) were resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of KAA8 (Ab01568-23.0) at 0.1 µg/ml before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.
