Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD47. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma OX-101.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P97829
Alternative Name(s) of Target: IAP; OX101; MRC OX-101; MRC OX101; leukocyte surface antigen CD47; integrin-associated protein; intergin associated protein
Immunogen: OX-101 was prepared by immunizing BALB/c mice with biotinylated rat thymocytes - this antibody was selected from a number of antibodies raised by the immunogen.
Specificity: OX-101 binds specifically to CD47 and has been shown to compete with OX-41 for binding . CD47 acts as an adhesionn receptor for THBS1 on platelets and is involved in the modulation of integrins (signalling). Acts as a SIRPA receptor - SIRPA binding prevents maturation of immature dentritic cells and and inhibits cytokine production by mature dendritic cells. Possibly involved in changes to membrane permeability due to virus infection.
Application Notes: This antibody can be used for affinity chromatography purification and can block the interaction between OX41-CD4d3+4 beads and cells. In addition OX-101 can be used for FC and WB.
