Immunogen: The original antibody was isolated from a phage display library by panning against live virus preparations of four species of Ebolavirus.

Specificity: This antibody binds an epitope between amino acid residues 634-738 of the C-terminal end of Nucleoprotein (NPCt) of Ebola virus strains Zaire, Tai Forest and Bundibugyo.

Application Notes: This antibody was used for the generation of monoclonal affinity reagent sandwich assay (MARSA) for detection of Ebolavirus polyvalent nucleoprotein where this antibody was used as both captor and tracer. This antibody is capable of detecting Zaire, Sudan, Ivory Coast, and Reston Ebola virus strains in an ELISA. This antibody could also detect Ebolavirus nucleoprotein from infected cell lysates in a western blot (PMID: 23577211).
