Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Estradiol-17β. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma E4-4.

Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunizing a female balb/c mouse with immunogenic Estradiol-17β-BSA conjugate.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for Estradiol-17β. Estradiol-17β is an estrogen steroid hormone and the major female sex hormone. It is involved in the regulation of the estrous and menstrual female reproductive cycles.
Application Notes: The scFv version of this antibody is capable of binding E2-7-BSA in an ELISA. A radioimmunoassay was performed using E2 standard and E2 with [H3] using the mouse version and the scFv version of this antibody. Finally the association and dissociation rate were determined using surface plasmon resonance on E2-7-BSA using both the mouse version and the scFv version of this antibody (Kobayashi et al, 2008; pmid:18824188) (Kobayashi et al, 2010; pmid:20047279).
