Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Fusion glycoprotein F0. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma B13.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P03420; P23728
Alternative Name(s) of Target: F; p27; Protein F; Fusion glycoprotein F1; Fusion glycoprotein F2
Immunogen: The original antibody was raised by immunizing a 10-month-old calf with persistently infected bovine nasal mucosa cell line NM7B.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for protein F from the respiratory syncytial virus
Application Notes: The original antibody was used for an ELISA on lysed Vero cells infected with bovine RSV. Further this antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on F protein. Finally the structure of this antibody was determined using x-ray crystallography (Ren et al., 2019; PMID:31100550). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on bovine lung tissue from infected calves. It showed the location of the virus in this experiment. Further this antibody was used for an in vivo neutralization assay, here calves were gives this antibody before they were infected. It showed a decrease in virus titer after 7 days (Thomas et al., 1998; PMID:9534958).

The original paper produced six interspecific hybridomas (heterohybridomas) secreting bovine monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against respiratory syncytial (RS) virus were produced.
