Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Gliadin. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma PEE14C7.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Deaminated gliadin; Celiac Allergen; Coeliac Allergen; Alpha-gliadin; α-gliadin; β gliadin; Beta-gliadin; γ gliadin; Gamma-gliadin; Omega-2 gliadin; Omega-5 gliadin; Omega gliadin; ω gliadin
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with a solution of peptide 'QPEEPFPE' conjugated to KLH and of a solution of adjuvant .
Specificity: This antibody specifically recognizes and binds deaminated gliadens and glutens. It recognizes the epitope sequence 'QPEEPFPE' and does not show any cross reactivity towards non-deamidated gliadin and gluten proteins.
Application Notes: This antibody is recommended for detection of deaminated gliadins and glutenins from wheat, rye, barley, spelt and triticale in commercial food samples (Tranquet et al., 2012). This antibody can also be used in the detection of certain allergies to deaminated glutens (PMID: 22737987).
