Recombinant monoclonal antibody to gp41. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the phage display antibody SL5.

Immunogen: A single chain fragment variable (scFv) phage display library was constructed from a simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)-infected rhesus macaque. The original antibody was isolated by panning onto oligomeric (gp140) and monomeric (gp120) forms of SIV Env glycoprotein.
Specificity: The antibody is specific for gp41.
Application Notes: The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The scFv format was able to neutralize SIVmac316. The original antibody was converted in the scFv-Fc format and its specificity validated by WB (Ita et al., 2017; PMID: 28075174).
