Recombinant monoclonal antibody to GXM. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 3E5.
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Glucuronoxylomannan
Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunizing mice with GXM-TT.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for GMX from Cryptococcus neoformans.
Application Notes: ELISA was preformed on CNPS-A using the murine version of this antibody (Mukherjee et al, 1993; pmid:8459205). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on lung tissue from mice infected with strains 24067 of C. neoformans. To determine the ability of antibodies to protect against pulmonary fungal pathogens (Feldmesser and Casadevall, 1997; pmid:8992996).
