Recombinant monoclonal antibody to H protein. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the phage display antibody NB2.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P24306
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Hemagglutinin glycoprotein; protein H; canine distemper virus
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing camels with inactivated canine distemper vaccine. The peripheral blood lymphocytes were isolated and the VHH gene of Bactrian camel was amplified by nested PCR method, and it was linked into pCANTAB 5E phage vector to construct phage display library.
Specificity: This antibody binds protein H of canine distemper virus (CDV). Canine distemper is a viral disease caused by CDV that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of puppies and dogs. The virus can also be found in wildlife such as foxes, wolves, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, mink and ferrets and has been reported in lions, tigers, leopards and other wild cats as well as seals.
Application Notes: The binding of this antibody to protein H of canine distemper virus was confirmed using ELISA (CN114181305).
