Immunogen: The original antibody was isolated from human semi-synthetic ETH-2 phage antibody library by biopanning against H5 hemagglutinin.
Specificity: This antibody binds the hemaglutinin of the H5N1 avian influenza virus.
Application Notes: This antibody specifically reacts with H5 type of hemaglutinin with no cross reactivity towards the H5N3 strain. This antibody was capable of detecting a 50kDa protein corresponding to the major subunit (HA1) of the HA protein in a western blot assay (PMID: 19481117).

ELISA using AV.G4 (Ab02205) and Influenza A HA [A/Hong Kong/483/97 (H5N1)]. Binding curves of the rabbit IgG chimeric version of the Anti-HAHA antibody AV.G4 (Ab02205-23.0; red line) and isotype control (Ab00102-23.0, anti-fluorescein; orange line) to an ELISA plate coated with Influenza A HA [A/Hong Kong/483/97 (H5N1)] at a concentration of 2.5 ug/ml. A 3-fold serial dilution from 3000 to 0.0169 ng/ml was performed using Ab02205 antibody. For signal detection, a 1:4000 dilution of a HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used.
