Immunogen: The mouse version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a mouse with porcine thermal-stable blood protein.

Specificity: This antibody is specific for mammalian hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is one of the most important porteins in the blood. It transports oxygen and carbondioxide throughout the body. It forms dimers.

Application Notes: To create a test to detect and quantify the amount of pig blood in food samples, an ELISA was performed on whole blood and meat extracts using the mouse version of this antibody. Furthermore, a western blot was used to study the protein profiles of different meat and blood extracts using this antibody (Jiang et al, 2018; pmid:29412908).
