Alternative Name(s) of Target: immunoglobulin Y light chain
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing Balb/c mice with purified alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) IgY.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the heavy chain of alligator IgY.
Application Notes: This antibody was used to develop an ELISA for quantifying serum antibody responses against whole bacterial pathogens in alligators. This antibody can also be used for WB (Alston et al., 2022; PMID: 35205135).
