Immunogen: The original version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a mouse with HPV58 and HPV59 VLPs.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the DE loops of two adjacent HPV58 L1 monomers.
Application Notes: The original version of this antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on HPV58 and HPV59 pentamers. The structure of the antibody was determined using x-ray diffraction. Further the structure of the antibody was determined using cryo-EM (Zhihai et al., 2017; PMID:28951471).

Note on publication:
The original paper shows that the epitopes of A12A3 are clustered in the DE loops of two adjacent HPV58 L1 monomers, whereas 28F10 recognizes the HPV59 FG loop of a single monomer.
