Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Nucleoprotein. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma MARV-A.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: P27588
Alternative Name(s) of Target: NP; Protein N; Nucleoprotein; Nucleocapsid protein
Immunogen: The original antibody was raised by immunizing a llama with the Marburgvirus Nucleoprotein.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the Marburgvirus Nucleoprotein.
Application Notes: The original version of this antibody was used for an ELISA on nucleoprotein from polio (Garza et al., 2017; PMID:29038656, Darling et al., 2017; PMID:29021793). The monomeric and dimeric version of this antibody were used for a western blot on HEK 293T cells (Garza et al., 2017; PMID:29038656). Furthermore the ability of this antibody to crosslink nucleoprotein (NP) in vitro was tested (Darling et al., 2017; PMID:29021793).
Antibody first published in:
Darling et al. Intracellular Crosslinking of Filoviral Nucleoproteins with Xintrabodies Restricts Viral Packaging Front Immunol. 2017; 8: 1197. PMID:29021793
Note on publication:
The original paper studied whether RNC would be ideal targets for crosslinkers engineered to promote aberrant protein–protein interactions.
