Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing dromedary with the enzyme and isolating specific binders from the VHH cloned from peripheral blood lymphocytes.
Specificity: This antibody binds an epitope outside the catalytic site of the porcine pancreatic alpha-amylase.
Application Notes: This antibody can be used to detect porcine pancreatic alpha-amylase using and ELISA (PMID: 9649422). The binding of this antibody to alpha-amylase did not inhibit the amylase activity (PMID: 11960990).
