Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Sialoadhesin. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 3B11 (3B11/11).
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: A7LCJ3
Alternative Name(s) of Target: CD169; pSn; Sn; p210; Siglec-1; Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 1
Immunogen: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with porcine alveolar macrophages.
Specificity: This antibody recognizes and binds porcine sialoadhesin.
Application Notes: This antibody is recommended to be used as a tool in the study of porcine macrophage maturation and differentiation and for determining their heterogeneity both in normal and pathological conditions. This antibody can recognize porcine sialoadhesin in a western blot assay and an immunoprecipitation assay (PMID: 9151393). Tissue distribution of the antigen recognized by this mAb was analyzed by immunohistochemical staining of different tissues (PMID:19081005). 3B11 successfully binds alveolar macrophages and PAM cells in a flow cytometric analysis (PMID:19081005, 23785195). Porcine sialoadhesin has also been analyzed as potential antigen targeting receptors using mouse IgG as surrogate antigens (PMID:21557980). The mAb was also used in the study the role of sialoadhesin in porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection using immunoflurosence and flow cytometric analysis (Liu et al, 2020)
