Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from The hybridoma 2-3B2.
UniProt Accession Number of Target Protein: O55192
Alternative Name(s) of Target: Slc6a2; Norepinephrine transporter; NET; Solute carrier family 6 member 2
Immunogen: This antigen was raised by immunizing a BALB/c mouse with the sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter antigen.
Specificity: This antibody is specific for the sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter. This antibody is an amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals.
Application Notes: Striatum tissues from 2- and 8-month-old wild-type and transgenic mice were immunoblotted using this antibody (Graham and Sidhu, 2010; pmid:20077428). Freshly dissected mouse brain tissues were immunoblotted using this antibody (Ye et al, 2015; pmid:26793096). This antibody was usaed for immunoblotting on protein from the mesenteric PVAT, mesenteric resistance vessels, adipocytes, SVF, and vena cava. The test animal used was a rat (Ayala-Lopez et al, 2015; pmid:26432838). ). Mouse NET protein was immunoprecipitated using this antibody (Mannangatti et al, 2015; pmid:25724654). Mouse NET protein was immunoblotted using this antibody (Mannangatti et al, 2015; pmid:25724654). Immunoblot was preformed on proteins from NET knockout mice using this antibody (Fentress et al, 2013; pmid:24102798). Alvarial osteoblasts isolated from 3–4-day-old neonatal mice were immunoblotted using this antibody (Ma et al, 2013; pmid:24005671). Immunocytochemistry was performed in formalin-fixed long bones of neonatal mice using this antibody (Ma et al, 2013; pmid:24005671). brain tissue from mice homozygous for a mutant human A53T-α-Syn transgene driven by the prion promoter (A53T) were immunoblotted with this antibody (Oaks et al, 2013; pmid:23560093).Proteins from knock-in mice carrying the NET A457P allele were imunnoblotted with this antibody (Shirley-Rice et al, 2013; pmid:23580201). In a study investigating the role of the sodiumdependent vitamin C transporter-2 (SVCT2) in transporting VC at the cortical nerve terminal. This antibody was used for immunostaining on cultured SCG neurons (Pierce et al, 2015; pmid:26366722).
Antibody first published in:
Graham and Sidhu. Mice expressing the A53T mutant form of human alpha-synuclein exhibit hyperactivity and reduced anxiety-like behavior J Neurosci Res. 2010 Jun;88(8):1777-83. PMID:20077428
Note on publication:
The effect of the hA53T mutation during development was examined by analyzing the protein expression of norepinephrine (NET), serotonin (SERT), and dopamine (DAT) transporters in addition to assessing locomotor and anxiety-like behavior.

Immunofluorescence staining of Neuro-2a cells with anti-Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter antibody 2-3B2 (Ab02548). Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde-fixed Neuro-2a cells on Shi-fix™ coverslips stained with the mouse IgG1 version of 2-3B2 (Ab02548-1.1) (1:100 dilution) for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody (1:1000 dilution), showing membrane and cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show, from left-right, top-bottom, Ab02548-1.1, DAPI, merged channels, and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody (Ab00178-1.1) followed by staining with Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.
